Police Academy and have lunch at the Cafe there. Today, being Monday, the special was BBQ Ribs with beans and corn. Anyone who knows me even a little can guess that I didn’t even look at the menu after hearing this. As you can see from the picture, it was a wise choice. The ribs were so good, and there was a mountain of them. I took half of it home and it only cost $6. I recommend this highly! Check out the Cafe Specials here, and plan your next trip accordingly.

It’s actually called Country Bar-B-Q Chicken & Ribs, but Pig Daddy’s is the nickname we gave it after a restaurant in Florida of the same name that unfortunately closed before we got a chance to try it. This place is what we imagined it might have been like.

The restaurant sits right on Rt. 66 in Azusa, and as the sign out front clearly states, it features a “Salad Barge” and a Drive-Thru. We had our usual, the #19, 2 pieces of chicken and 2 pieces of beef ribs (and by 2 pieces, they mean about 5 big ribs) plus cole slaw, fries, and a dinner roll. It all comes in a big mountain on a paper plate with plenty of napkins.

Now that’s good eatin’! plus there’s video games for the kids. I was gonna take a picuture of the Salad Barge, too, but there came point where I didn’t want to touch my camera anymore. I recommend this place highly, so if you find yourself on Rte. 66, Drive-Thru.
